It follows the trend of other God metals in using the actual name of the shard bearer plus 'ium'. Ati + ium = Atium for Ruin and Leras + ium = Lerasium for Preservation. It does not yet have an official name and is referred to in the books simply as an "unknown metal."

It is unknown what Shard Trell holds if indeed he is a Shard. One possibility would be that Trell is Odium. To our knowledge, Odium is currently bound to Braize in Greater Roshar the same solar system as Roshar of the Stormlight Archive leading one to believe that it may be another shard. However, since the second era of Mistborn takes place after the first five books of the Stormlight Archive and possibly even after the second five books, it is entirely possible that Odium is no longer bound during the second era of Mistborn. If Trell indeed is Odium, Trellium would more appropriately referred to as Raysium.

This page or section contains spoilers for Shadows of Self and The Bands of Mourning!
This information has the ability to potentially ruin elements of the plot for the reader. Proceed with caution if you have not read these books.
This article's title is uncanonical and a fan created one, because an official term or name has not been made yet.

Trellium is the metal used by Paalm to hide from Harmony's sight and evade capture. It is also presumably seen in Bands of Mourning used by the Set.[citation needed] The metal is not known to Harmony. The name is in reference to the force currently known as Trell on Scadrial.

Trellium is a silvery metal with a red cast to it, and dark red spots similar to rust.[1][2]

Allomantic Use

When burned by an Allomancer, Trellium has unknown properties.

Feruchemical Use

When used by a Feruchemist, Trellium has unknown properties.

Hemalurgic Use

This unknown metal is used for the Hemalurgic spikes that keep the user hidden from Harmony.[3] This has a limited effect, however, and any more than a single spike will make the user visible to Harmony. It is an inherent property of the metal, and not a Hemalurgic attribute that hides the user. It is also used to create Chimaeras.[1][3]

Presumably its Hemalurgic ability is similar to that of Atium, allowing the transfer of any ability with somewhat variable success depending on the binding point. It could also be assumed that, like Atium, any ability provided through its spikes would be fueled by its respective shard, Trell, rather than Preservation.

Theories

This page or section deals with theories or speculation.
Please read carefully and note that this is not necessarily canonical.

It is possible that this is the metal referred to by Miles Hundredlives in his final words as "the final metal."

Presumably, it is a god metal of one of the other sixteen Shards of Adonalsium, as it is not one of the sixteen normal metals used in the Metallic Arts. However, it is not known which of the sixteen Trell is.
