Figments are a species of aliens designated as "special-classification" within the Superiority empire.[1] They are invisible clouds that can adopt a smell, if they wish, and can take control of technology. Many died during the wars with the humans and they are slow to reproduce. They often are involved in investigations of high-level internal Superiority politics.[1] They used to have advanced technology, but were allied with the humans and were forbidden it after the war was over.[2][3]
