Bavadin was the original holder of the Shard of Autonomy.[1]

All that is truly known about him is that the author of the Letter holds a grudge against him for some unknown reason, and that the author of the letter also holds a grudge against Rayse. For this reason, it is believed that he may support Rayse, though nothing is confirmed. It has been confirmed that Bavadin is located on Taldain, the planet of White Sand, [2]and is the only Shard there.[3]

Trivia

Among the original Shardholders, Brandon is very fond of Bavadin.[4]
