The Seventeenth Shard is a mysterious organization which, along with Hoid and the Shardholders, is speculated to be influential in the overall Cosmere.
“I am being chased. Your friends of the Seventeenth Shard, I suspect. I believe they're still lost, following a false trail I left for them. They'll be happier that way. I doubt they have any inkling what to do with me should they actually catch me. ”
They appear in the Interlude I-1: Ishikk[2] as the foreign visitors to Purelake. It has been confirmed by Brandon that the one Ishikk calls Grump is Galladon from Elantris [3].
