Mistborn is a fantasy series by Brandon Sanderson.

It is most well known as a trilogy, but there will be additional instalments.

First Trilogy

The first Mistborn trilogy chronicles the efforts of a group of Allomancers who attempt to overthrow a dystopian empire and establish themselves in a world covered by ash.

The three books of the trilogy are:

Mistborn Adventures

Set about 300 years after the first trilogy, the Mistborn Adventures are about the exploits of Waxillium Ladrian, a "wild-west Deputy" forced to move into the big city, and starts investigating kidnappings and robberies.

Brandon has stated that it will be "Alloy of Law plus a trilogy".[3] The Lost Metal is the tentative title for the fourth book.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content

Brandon has also said that he may do some more works before the second trilogy, set in the 1940's.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content

Second Mistborn Trilogy

Set soon after the Mistborn Adventures, the second trilogy is about a Mistborn serial killer.[4] It supposedly introduces the Southern Peoples of Scadrial.[5]

Third Mistborn Trilogy

The third trilogy is going to be a space-opera with Allomancy powered faster-than-light technology.[6] Hoid will be a main character in this trilogy.[7]
