Most of Brandon's books include small illustrations at the beginning of each chapter, often by either Isaac Stewart or Ben McSweeney. These illustrations, sometimes called chapter icons or chapter headings, can sometimes offer insight into the characters or themes present in the given upcoming chapter. You can find most of the icons organized below. See Category:Chapter icons for the full list.

The Stormlight Archive

The Stormlight Archive chapter icons come in two varieties - character icons and chapter arches (composed of several individual icons). The character icons represent the focus character of the chapter, while the chapter arches convey the theme of the chapter through choice Heraldic imagery.
