Template:CharacterInfobox Sazed is a Terrisman steward from the Mistborn trilogy.

He is soft spoken, kindly and, due to the Lord Ruler's breeding program, very docile. He has a shaven head and wears robes with arrow patterns as is common to all Terris stewards. Sazed, as a Worldbringer (Keeper), has many earrings, bracelets and bands that act as his metal-minds.

In The Final Empire, Sazed plays the role of Kelsier's steward and is the only Terrisman to actively support the skaa rebellion. Sazed saves Vin's life twice and played a crucial part in the downfall of the Final Empire. He first rescues her from the Steel Inquisitors when she and Kelsier tried to break into Kredik Shaw and then when she was in captivity and out of metals.

In the next two books, Sazed plays a larger role. He left Luthadel in order to fufill his task as a Worldbringer and spread the knowledge of the time before the Lord Ruler to the people of the Final Empire. He came across mysterious deaths somehow related to the mists. Sazed's area of focus is religion, although he carries the complete knowledge of the Terris people.

He was then found by Marsh, who led him to the Conventicle of Seran. Here they found the last words of Kwaan inscribed on a metal plate. Sazed then left his duties as a Worldbringer in order to bring his important knowledge and his aid to Luthadel, especially that concerning his fears at the deaths caused by the mists.

Sazed returns to Luthadel and works with Kelsier's old team to get Vin and Elend Venture out of the city before it falls to Ashweather Cett, Straff Venture or the Koloss. He draws them a counterfeit map showing the way to the Well of Ascension. Sazed is left to help defend Luthadel and uses nearly everything he has stored in his metal-minds. Vin realizes that the Well is in Luthadel and returned only just in time to save Sazed from the Koloss.

Sazed, while in Luthadel, found himself falling in love with a Terriswoman and member of the Synod, Tindwyl, who had come to train Elend. He studied Kwaan's message with Tindwyl who becomes as captivated by it as he was. They discovered that Ruin was changing the words on Sazed's copy so Sazed returned to the Conventicle to find that Kwaan had left a warning: "Alendi must not reach the Well of Ascension, for he must not be allowed to release the thing that is imprisoned there."

In the Hero of Ages, Sazed suffered from depression as Tindwyl had died in the seige of Luthadel. He refuses to wear his metal-minds and is convinced that all religion is a lie and refuses to lead the Terris people living above the Pits of Hathsin. He spends most of his time in Urteau with Spook and Breeze and uses his knowledge of engineering to help reclaim the city. While in Urteau, he goes through each and every one of his gathered religions until he despairs. It is only when he finds himself among the Kandra that he becomes interested in religion again, as the Kandra

At the very end of the Mistborn Trilogy, after Vin and Ati had destroyed one another, Sazed took up the Shards of Ruin and Preservation, finally understanding that he was the Hero, and remade Scadrial as it should have been. He realized that each of his religions did hold truths and that they provided vital information to help him right the world, as was prophesied: "The Hero will bear the future of the world on his arms", where Sazed kept his metal-minds.

Sazed left one last note for Spook and the other survivors on Scadiral, telling them that there are more metals left to be discovered and that, while rebuilding will be difficult, but that "Rashek planned very well for this day" - meaning the storage caverns. He left Spook with all of his knowledge and a blessing from Kelsier.

While Sazed became, to all intents and purposes, god, he still had much to learn and discoverer and had many mysteries to puzzle out when the Hero of Ages ended.
