Mareshe was an Elantrian from Sel.[1]

Raoden saved him from Shaor's men. Asked about his profession he told Raoden that he was a jeweler, a craftsman and an artisan. Raoden assigned him to make shoes for the Elantrians what wasn't that easy because they really had to fit their bearers.[1]

Mareshe might have been an Arelish because he thought that Raoden looked familiar.[1]

Mareshe followed Raoden and became his friend and confidant.
