Hoed

The Hoed were a group of Elantrians that had accumulated so many injuries that they were effectively comatose from the pain.

After the Reod, the Elantrian people stopped self-healing and so any injuries, however minor, never stopped causing them pain. Since the Elantrians stayed immortal, when the pain became too much they just stopped living and became comatose.

The Hoed could be relieved from their pain by being taken to Aonas Shardpool which vaporized their bodies.
