The Original is an upcoming audio original story co-written with Mary Robinette Kowal.[1] The audio original does not contain a full cast but does contain original music and audio mixing. The company the story is published through is one Brandon has worked with before, but not Audible[2]
The story is about a world in which the government creates clones of criminals to track the criminal down. If successful, the clone is promised the chance to take the Original's place in life. The clones also have controls in place to kill them at the press of a button. Brandon completed the outline in 2018.[3] Writing happened throughout 2019 and recording had begun by the end of the year.[1]
