Mistborn is a fantasy series by Brandon Sanderson.

It is most well known as a trilogy, but there will be additional installments. The first Mistborn trilogy chronicles the efforts of a group of Allomancers who attempt to overthrow a dystopian empire and establish themselves in a world covered by ash.
