Stick is an ordinary stick.[3]
Shallan tried to Soulcast Stick after escaping the Wind's Pleasure, but was unable to convince it to change.[2] During the Battle of Thaylen Field, Shallan thinks back to her encounter with Stick.[4]
After Words of Radiance came out, members of the 17th Shard fansite latched on to Stick and turned it into an in-joke. On April Fools Day in 2014, Brandon released a "deleted interlude" from Stick's perspective, which can be read here.
