Deathants are a form of insect native to the Pantheon islands.[1]
One bite of these yellow creatures enough to kill a person, even though they are only as small as a pinhead.
They usually lie in wait in their underground nests, that can sometimes be recognized by a bulge or crack in the ground, then when somebody steps on their nest they swarm out and kill them. One also has to be cautious for deathants on branches or inside a trapper´s safecamp, although this is less common.
