First of the Sun History
At an unknown date First of the Sun was formed within the Drominad system, humans are not a recent addition to the planets ecosystem indicating they may have arrived early in its history.[1] Throughout its history many Shards have meddled with the planet and its inhabitants,[2] of particular note is the Shard Autonomy whom created Patji on the planet.[2][3][4] Patji was directly created by Autonomy[5] but the associated perpendicularity was not, that instead was a naturally occurring phenomena.[6] This Perpendicularity is unique to First of the Sun as no other planet in the system has one, as a result First of the Sun is the best studied of the systems worlds.
Various expeditions have been undertaken by Silverlight in order to explore the planet but are generally hampered due to the fact that the worlds perpendicularity is located in the most dangerous part of the planet.[7] As a result First of the Sun developed a reputation of being highly dangerous and attempted expeditions slowly died off leaving most of the planet unexplored by outsiders.[8]
During the Final Desolation Hoid requested for assistance from Autonomy in combatting Odium. Patji however intercepted the letter and declined the offer unless Hoid earned their respect by surviving the challenges on the Islands. Hoid never visited First of the Sun and so never accepted this challenge.[9]
By the events of Sixth of the Dusk there is no longer a shard present on First of the Sun.[2][10] By this stage Scadrial has achieved space travel.[11] Contact was made with a group known as the Ones Above who began to share their technology with the planets inhabitants.
Due to the location of the perpendicularity transportation to and from the planet remained highly difficult for most of its existence.[12] This made study of the Aviar particularly difficult with the only known case of an Aviar being found off world being Mraizes pet.[13][14]
Humans at one stage attempted to try and gain Aviar powers but failed.[15]
By the time of Sixth of the Dusk there is no longer a shard present on First of the Sun.[2][10] By this stage Scadrial has achieved space travel.[11] Contact on the planet has been made with individuals known as the Ones Above ten years before the events of Sixth of the Dusk. The individuals gratned various technology to the human populations of First of the Sun.
