Haddek was a member of the First Generation of the kandra and acted as the leader of the Firsts. He was originally one of Rashek's fellow packmen, but was later changed into a mistwraith during the events of the Ascension. He was then made into a kandra by Rashek.

Instead of a True Body, Haddek, like the other Firsts, wears his own original bones.

During the battle for Scadrial, Haddek helped Sazed learn of the original Terris prophecies and so aided in his discovery of the intentions of Ruin. However, once it became clear that Ruin had begun to influence the kandra he declared that the Resolution had come, prompting most of the kandra to remove their blessings.
