Seons are a type of magical entity native to Sel. They have the appearance of floating balls of light, with a glowing Aon at their core. These Aons are Splinters of the Shard Devotion.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content Seons are named for the Aon at their heart. The word "Seon" comes from Aon Seo, which means loyalty and service.
Each Seon is bound to a person to whom they act as an adviser and caretaker. The bond can be Passed from one person to another, usually to a family member. This bond is similar in nature to the Nahel Bond between spren and Surgebinders.[1]
