Artwork[edit]

It's my understanding that the sketches and other artwork from the novels are copyrighted. Do we have permission to use this artwork?

Yes, we do.--WeiryWriter (talk) 03:00, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Rewrite[edit]

This article had the attention flag so I decided to rewrite it. It's my first Wiki article so please be easy on me. I have references for most of the material I included by I'm not sure how to do referencing yet. I'll add them as I have time. I'm looking forward to any feedback. --Voidbinder (talk) 21:57, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Hey Voidbinder, thank you so much for your rewrite, it looks great to me, but I'm sure one of the other staff will come along and look at it more content-wise and check for any errors. The main thing I noticed is that you lost the Notes section, which we have on all our articles. If you can leave that there it'd be great.
When you get onto referencing, we do it by chapter so {{book ref|sa1|54}} will refer to The Way of Kings chapter 54. The interludes need an extra `|i|` section: {{book ref|sa2|i|3}} is Words of Radiance interlude I-3. Epigraphs use {{epigraph ref}} in a similar manner. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and if you don't mind us fixing things you can try it out and we'll come along and tweak anything to be correct. Then you can look at the history page and take a look at what we changed to fix things?
Thank you again for your awesome edits, I really look forward to seeing what else you can do --Joe ST (talk) 22:22, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm getting the citations figured out. I don't know how to add the notes section back in. I'll take a look at it though.
--Voidbinder (talk) 18:56, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
The Notes section appears to be there. I don't know what it should contain that it does not. I looked back at the history and didn't see that it ever contained anything else. --Voidbinder (talk) 18:58, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Hey Voidbinder. I already went ahead and added the notes section back in. I hope that by doing that I haven't stepped on your toes. I tend to go in and fix things pretty quickly if I spot them. --Joe ST (talk) 19:02, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for your help[edit]

I hope it's okay to put this here, but thanks for your help in my spelling, and links. I don't read the book, but listen to the audiobook. So, I am not familiar with the spellings, and meant to go look them up before I saved, but got called away and saved it before I had a chance to fix everything. I really appreciate your help. - Snote85

Not a problem.--WeiryWriter (talk) 20:39, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

should we have a list of instances similar to the shardblade article? --Joe ST (talk) 07:53, 13 May 2015 (MDT)

Nahel bonded spren and shardplate?[edit]

As far as I understand it, shardplate is somehow connected to the spren as well, much like shardblades. Unfortunately, I don't have references yet, but if I find them, I'll add it to the article. My understanding, though, is that once a Radiant says enough oaths, their spend can become both plate and blade for them, much like how they can become just a blade (it other weapon) when they have advanced sufficiently -- Allomancer Jak (talk) 21:07, 7 September 2017 (MST)

Allomancer Jak, we don't know this--it's only a theory. Perhaps Oathbringer will give us some answers on how plate works. --Jofwu (talk) 06:17, 11 September 2017 (MST)
It's made of many lesser spren actually. In Windrunner's case windspren, but again Sanderson seems to be holding it for future. Windspren were dancing around Kal many times and near end of Oathgiver almost got it, but still it's not "completely" confirmed. 162.158.102.97 13:50, 30 January 2019 (MST)
