Royal Defender is a title traditionally given to the bearer of the Shards of Thanadal princedom, which had both a Shardblade and Shardplate painted yellow.[1]
The tradition had lasted for centuries. In 1173, Brightlord Resi is the current holder of the Shards and title.[1]
