Pre-Release Material and Our Spoiler Policy

Hey there, Fanperson72! I wanted to reach out because I saw you added some information to the Iri page that comes from the preview chapters of Secret Project One. Per our spoiler policy, the only place that pre-release content is allowed on the Coppermind is on a book's page (in this case, at the actual book title, not the spoiler redirect I linked above—we're just trying to keep even the book title confined to just that one page); information only available from pre-release content should never be added to content pages. For that reason, your edit to the Iri page was reverted and I have hidden it from public view (I've also protected the page for a while, since you weren't the first one to try adding this information). If there's anything you think we can do to make this policy clearer, please feel free to reach out on a talk page or our Discord; I know policy pages are rather out-of-the-way for most people. Oh my bad, sorry I didn't mean to actually edit anything. I thought it would show up as like a suggestion to the editor, sorry about that 😅. All good; I totally understand it takes a bit to figure out how the site works and mostly just wanted to provide some clarification! Sorry if that was a bit rough for your first interaction. But yeah, for further clarity, edits do go live when you push the "Save changes" button (even if you don't have an account at all—the software is pretty committed to the "anyone can edit" concept) and there isn't really a viable "suggested edits" option. If you do have something you're not sure about that you want to suggest, the Discord server I mentioned is where most of our discussion happens these days, though talk pages are available as well if you prefer.
