Hi and welcome to the Coppermind! Recently you have been adding unnecessary whitespace to articles. We usually don't put spaces between parameters in infoboxes or between categories at the bottom of pages. If you want a ruler to use as a guide for how things should look, pick a high-quality page (e.g. an exemplary one, though most reviewed articles will also work) and look at how it is formatted. Thanks for your help. King of Herdaz (talk) 03:15, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
- @User:King of Herdaz Meh, I will just stick to fixing grammar. --Auri (Express yourself, be heard!) 03:38, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
Hey Auri! Thank you for your work and for tackling grammar issues! I know I've made some questionable grammar decisions when writing articles and always appreciate a second set of eyes to help catch my mistakes. To save you some time, I wanted to send through a link to the style guidelines so you know what to keep an eye out for, but also just needed to flag that the Coppermind uses American English and references should go directly after periods without spaces. I would hate for you to put in that effort and then it end up being reverted. :(
Thanks again for your help, it's really appreciated! If you were interested, we have a Discord server to discuss editing, please feel free to come and hangout and chat about changes!
Hi Auri, I read on your edit to Windrunner's user page difficulty registering on 17S. Please hit me up and I can assist you in this regard, at [email protected] Thanks! --Chaos2651 (talk) 08:19, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
- @User:Chaos2651 I tried signing in to the forums with the correct account and password, but that didn't work. I then thought that I had to create an account. I did with my current username, and it said that it was already taken. --Auri (Express yourself, be heard!) 08:24, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
Hey Auri! We've noticed some of your edits have been adding a lot of extra spaces and just wanted to let you know that we don't put extra spaces in infobox templates and put reference templates immediately after the punctuation, with no space between them. If these are from some sort of script or automated process that you're running when you edit, please turn it off; if you're doing it manually, it's really just a waste of both your time to do it and then our time to change things back.
Also, we'd like to ask you to please stop making talk pages for random IP addresses. There's no guarantee the same person will be using that IP address in the future and really no reason for those pages to exist.
If you persist in making these kind of edits, we're going to have to block you as spam. If you have questions, please ask them here or on our Coppermind editors Discord server before making changes.
