Leras was the original holder of the Shard Preservation.

Appearance

Leras was short with black hair, and a prominent nose.

History

Leras became the Shardholder for Preservation through unknown means (like the rest of the original Shardholders). He orchestrated the downfall of Ruin on Scadrial by an elaborate plot to sacrifice himself (since holding Preservation meant he was unable to destroy) and let Vin take the Shard. She then killed herself and Ati, letting Sazed pick up both Shards.
