Highprince Ruthar was a highprince of Alethkar on Roshar. His princedom was on Alethkar's eastern border.[1]

Ruthar was quite brawny and had a short black beard which surrounded his mouth.[2] His trousers were cut in a baggy fashion, which Dalinar thought was very informal.
