Avado noticed Szeth standing by the side of the road after Szeth had recovered his Oathstone and inquired about him. Szeth was then forced to give the Oathstone to Avado. Avado and Szeth left Alethkar for Jah Keved because Avado feared possible Alethi retributions against foreigners in the wake of Gavilar's death.
