The Shallow Crypts is a port settlement on the southern edge of the Frostlands.[1]

Tozbek considers the place dangerous, stating that he wouldn't feel safe leaving his brother there, even if his brother has killed seventeen people with his bare hands.[2]
The Wind's Pleasure was going to the Crypts before it capsized.[3] There is a well-trod path between the Crpyts and the warcamps on the Shattered Plains.[4] Tvlakv's caravan intercepted Shallan after the ship sunk, and Shallan made him return to the Plains having only recently visited the Crypts.[5]
