Brightlord Davar is a lighteyed Veden on Roshar.

He sired Shallan, Asha Jushu, Balat, Tet Wikim and the late Helaran. He was first married to Shallan's mother, but after her death he remarried to Malise Gevelmar.

From notes and maps found after his death and from letters he was receiving Nan Balat surmised that his father was making a play for the title of high prince, and was supported by some powerful men, namely the Ghostbloods.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content

Shallan believes he might have been a member of the Ghostbloods.

Near the end of The Way of Kings, Shallan admits to having killed her father.
