The King's Drop is a perfect ruby gemstone stored in the Thaylen Gemstone Reserve.

It has held Stormlight without being refilled and without dimming for over two hundred years.[1]

History

When Vstim visits the Reserve for an audit, he and Rysn stop and look at the stone as it glows brightly.

During the tour, a Voidbinding assassin attacks and steals the gem, but before escaping, Rysn's pet larkin, Chiri-Chiri consumes the Stormlight from the gem and the thief's Voidlight.[1]

After the thunderclast destroys the Reserve[2], a number of Fused take it and are chased by Lift and Szeth.[3] Eventually Dalinar acquires it and uses it to trap Nergaoul, the Unmade responsible for the Thrill.[4]
