Cob is a man whom Hoid comes across in Kholinar after the coming of the True Desolation. He is married to Kheni; they have a child, who is killed during the Desolation. Kheni goes into a catatonic state as a result; Cob stays with her to take care of her. After Hoid brings them a young orphan girl to take care of, he asks if Hoid can stay a little longer, which Hoid doesn't believe he has ever been asked before.[2]
