Rysn was a young Thaylen merchants apprentice on Roshar.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; refs with no name must have content
Her babsk, Vstim, traded with the Shin Thresh Soulcast metal for some chickens. The Shin were eager to get metal but didn't do mining as for them stone is holy. So they traded among other things chicken for this metal that were a by-product when young ardents learned how to Soulcast.
Vstim made Rysn to keep some of the Shin's grass and soil, and care for it, for it would make her a better merchant.
