He was friend of Waxillium Ladrian. He lived in the Roughs and worked with Wax to keep law and order, and visited Elendel to help investigate the Vanishers and attempt to make Wax a lawman again.

He is a slider and a bloodmaker. His Allomantic ability is pushing time in a bubble around him (Slider) and his Feruchemical ability is bloodmaking (storing health in Gold metalminds).

He has an unhealthy fondness for hats.
