A Lodestar is an appointed leader of a community on Canticle who navigates a city along its route.[2] In some communities, the Lodestar also acts as a visionary who guides the long term plans of the city.[3][4] On Beacon, a Lodestar is appointed by a vote of the Greater Good.[4]
History[edit]
The term originates on Threnody with the first Lodestar who led a group of Threnodites to Canticle to escape internal strife in the aftermath of the Evil.[3][1]
