Template:CharacterInfobox Taan was a sculptor from Arelon on Sel.

He survived the turmoil of the Shaod, and lived for several years in Iadons fledgling kingdom. However, he was taken by the Reod and cast into Elantris approximately a year before Raoden.

After entering Elantris he assumed the name Aandan and ruled approximately a third of the cities inhabitants.

After joining Raoden's band Taan largely gave up leadership, reverting to his former role as a sculptor and studying the masterful works that existed throughout the city of Elantris.
