She had not appeared directly in any of the published books before the releases of [[The Bands of Mourning]] and [[Mistborn: Secret History]] but she was speculated to be the author of the [[Ars Arcanum]] - confirmed in [[Arcanum Unbounded]]. This is supported by the conversation she had with Wax in Bands of Mourning, revealing that she was doing research in to the [[Metallic Arts|Scadrian magic systems]].
