I noticed the mention of the Iriali in chapter two of "Tress of the Emerald Sea," and after putting the information on the page for that book, I was told to move the information here, so I did.

The Iriali are not native to [[Roshar]].{{wob ref|1516}} They believe that they are part of something they call the "Long Trail", of which they are currently in the Fourth Land;{{book ref|sa2|i|2}} fans speculate that this means they have been to three planets before coming to Roshar. ItOne is not known whatof those planets might be [[Lumar]]{{book ref|tress|2}}, orthough the other two are unkown. Neither is it known when they came to Roshar, though it is known that they migrated to Roshar from somewhere besides [[Ashyn]], separately from the rest of humanity.{{wob ref|9551}} They have had what most would consider to be inhuman ancestry in their past, depending on what is considered human.{{wob ref|11884}}
 
By the [[Era of Solitude]], the eastern portion of Iri has split off to form the kingdom of [[Rira (country)|Rira]].{{map ref|Roshar}} Iri continued to claim Rira as a vassal, but that claim was disputed.{{book ref|sa3|16}}
