[[Hallandren]] is located in the Jungle valley on Nalthis. It is unique in the known world of Nalthis as being the only place that [[Tears of Edgli]] will grow, as well as being the only known jungle climate.{{book ref|wb|32}} The growth of plants in this region is partly helped by [[Investiture]], much like the [[Elendel Basin]].{{wob ref|9833}}
Hallandren sits in a valley (the lowlands) bordered by both the [[Bright Sea]] and the mountains. Hallandren encompasses a third of the [[Bright Sea]]'s coastline, and the capital city itself, [[T'Telir]], sits on the sea and is a major trade center.{{book ref|wb|9}} The [[Tears of Edgli]] grow only in the soil of Hallandren.{{book ref|wb|22}} This is due to [[Investiture]] seeping into the ground from [[Endowment]]'s [[Perpendicularity]].{{wob ref|13871}}{{wob ref|9833}} The valley has a moderate climate that is never too cold and rarely experiences harsh weather.{{book ref|wb|12}} The climate allows food to be grown without difficulty.
