'''Evensong''' was an orbital [[platform]] hanging between [[Wikipedia:Saturn|Saturn]] and [[Wikipedia:Uranus|Uranus]].{{book ref|Elysium}} It was the most remote of all the Outer Platforms, the farthest human outpost in deep-space. It is months away from Earth by ship.
Evensong has a police force. Orson Ansed is a captain on it and [[Ken Harris]] is a relatively new officer. Evensong also has a research facility for the [[Phone Company]]. [[Denise Carlson]] was a researcher there before she disappeared.
The [[Superiority]] repurposed Evensong as their main communications hub, holding most of the [[taynix]], and specifically commslugs.{{book ref|defiant|20}} It is the site of a gargantuan battle between the human forces of [[Detritus]] and the Superiority, that ultimately leads to the fall of the Superiorities communications systems and the freedom of the taynix.{{book ref|defiant|29}}{{book ref|defiant|epilogue}}
