Endowment is the only known Shard on Nalthis. It is responsible for the phenomena of the Returned, and likely directly related to Awakening. The holder of Endowment is unknown, and little is known of both the Shard itself and its overall part in the cosmere. The term 'Endowment' does not appear within the Canonical Cosmere books at any point, but was rather given to fans by Brandon when asked what the name of the Shard in Warbreaker was.
