There's a thread later in that post where Peter notes that cerrobend was trademarked but other names, including bendalloy, weren't (and I can't find any record of bendalloy being trademarked either) and Brandon says bendalloy "may be the winner," so I think that's likely the story

* In an original mockup of the complete Table of Allomantic Metals, this metal was named cerrobend.{{url ref|url=https://mistborn.livejournal.com/111534.html|text=Poster Near Final Version|site=Brandon's LiveJournal|date=2008-12-12}}{{url ref|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100107231629/https://www.brandonsanderson.com/graphics/mb_table_v13.jpg|text=MB Table v13|site=Brandon's website|date=2008-12-12}} However, the word cerrobend was a trademarked, commercial name for the [[wikipedia:Wood's metal|the metal]], and so [[Brandon]] was forced to use bendalloy instead.{{url ref|url= https://mistborn.livejournal.com/111534.html?thread=714158#t714158|text=Brandon’sThread blogon about"Poster theNear nearFinal final version of the posterVersion"|site=Brandon’sBrandon's livejournalLiveJournal|date=2008–12–12}}{{cite}}<!2008-12-just a note, bendalloy is also a commercial name, so not sure why that is okay and cerrobend isn't. see wikipedia:Wood's metal-->12}}
* The original plans for bendalloy and cadmium involved redshifting or blueshifting of light passing through the bubble. But this was dropped as it would have lead to people outside being microwaved and blasted with radiation.{{wob ref|128}}{{wob ref|8084}} This was solved through the transfer of energy between the Physical and Spiritual Realms.{{wob ref|2761}}
* The real world alloy for [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wood%27s_metal Bendalloy]bendalloy is 50% bismuth, 26.7% lead, 13.3% tin, and 10% cadmium. This is supported in-world by it being called an alloy of bismuth and cadmium.{{book ref|mb4|10}}
* The time dilation effect of bendalloy was originally defined as compressing 2 minutes of time into 15 seconds without flaring the metal. This was changed with the leatherbound release of Alloy of Law to leave the exact compression ratio to be ambiguous.{{book ref|mb4|12}} <!--This reference is also where the original version gave the 120:15 second ratio-->
