Relationships
Family
Aesudan Kholin
Gavinor is the son of Aesudan and Elhokar Kholin. Not much is known about his relationship with his parents. He spent most of his early childhood with Aesudan, as Elhokar was off fighting the War of Reckoning, although the two have met before -- possibly during Aesudan's visits to the Shattered Plains.1294 Elhokar seems to know how to take care of Gavinor, and knows how to calm the boy down when he starts crying.sa3 Gavinor, in turn, cares for him dearly, swearing bloody revenge on Moash after his death.sa4

Aesudan Kholin is the mother of Gavinor Kholin. Not much is known about their relationship, apart from the fact that after Aesudan fell under the influence of some of the Unmade, her son grew scared of her and most other people.sa3

Elhokar Kholin

It's unknown how Gavinor used to feel about his mother. After Aesudan fell under the influence of Ashertmarn and Yelig-nar, he grew scared of her and most other people.sa3 That time left him timid, quiet and easily-scared, and it took over a year for him to become excitable and sociable again. He does not seem to feel as strongly about his mother's death as he does about his father's, though this might be because of the different manner in which she died.sa4 He even thought she was evil until Dalinar told him that she was controlled by evil people, and that she loved him.sa4
Elhokar Kholin is the father of Gavinor Kholin. Not much is known about their relationship, apart from the fact that Elhokar seems to be able to calm Gavinor down when he is crying after Kaladin attempts to pick him up during the infiltration of the Kholinar Palace.sa3

After Gavinor arrives in Urithiru, the rest of his family, including Adolin, Dalinar and Navani, take care of him; Adolin teaches him horse-riding, Dalinar trains him in swordsmanship, while Navani tries to spend time with him whenever she can.sa4 While it seems that doesn't happen very often, both of them enjoy each other's company, and Navani is very fond of the boy.sa4
Drehy and Skar

=== Drehy and Skar ===
Little is known about the journey of Drehy and Skar's small band of refugees who fledflee the city after the siege of Kholinar. However, it is apparent that Drehy and/or Skar wereare able to convince Gavinor to come with them, and after they have sacrificed so much to protect Gavinor and the rest of their band, it is likely that Gavinor trusts Drehy and/or Skarthem.sa3

Moash
Friends
Gavinor wants to kill Moash to avenge his father; he asks Dalinar to teach him swordsmanship for this purpose. Apparently he was never told about reasons of his father's death.sa4

Szeth
When Elhokar and Kaladin enter the royal chambers of the Kholinar Palace, Elhokar asks Aesudan where Gavinor is. She informs them that he is off playing with friends. This later proved to be a lie, however, it would be reasonable to assume that Gavinor has/had friends, depending on the availability of these friends after their parents succumbed to the influence of the Heart of the Revel.sa3
Gavinor's happiness frightens Szeth because he thinks he shouldn't be around the prince, not to mention guarding him, as he's mentally unstable. However he can't bring himself to ask Dalinar not to. Gavinor, on the other hand, doesn't seem to fear Szeth, and even smiles and wriggles his wooden sword infront of Szeth.sa4
