T’Telir is also the location of the entire [[Hallandren]] [[lifeless]] army.{{book ref|wb|4}} This army numbers forty thousand lifeless, fully equipped{{book ref|wb|47}} and ready to respond to any potential invasion. While this army is completely separate of the city guard, it can be called upon to defend the walls. The lifeless soldiers are described as wearing gold and blue,{{book ref|wb|4}} this might be the same as the living human guards, who’s uniforms are described as bright yellow and blue.{{book ref|wb|prologue}}

T’Telir is located in a bay,{{book ref|wb|4}} protecting it from storms and making it a good port. Due to trade across the [[Bright Sea]] T’Telir is very wealthy.{{book ref|wb|32}} T’Telir has access to many products that only grow in the Hallandren lowlands, an important example of this are the [[Tears of Edgli]],{{book ref|wb|32}} types of flowers that make for a very effective dye. These flowers require investiture to grow, and therefore only grow in Hallandren,{{book ref|wb|32}} making T’Telir one of the few ports which export these dyes.
Due to T’Telir’s wealth the city is a popular destination for merchants.{{book ref|wb|9}} A lot of these merchants come from far away lands such as [[Tedradel]]{{book ref|wb|9}} or the kingdoms beyond the mountains, there are also a lot of [[Idris|Idrian]] merchants in the city.{{book ref|wb|9}} Due to this there is a large exchange of culture in T’Telir, with many restaurants having foreign themes such as [[Tektees]].{{book ref|wb|5}}
T’Telir imports a lot of products from the nations around it. Examples being fresh foods{{book ref|wb|9}} and clothing.{{book ref|wb|25}}
