A focus is a specific magic-related term in the cosmere, something which "focuses" a magic system.
Magic Systems and Their Focuses
- AonDor's focus are Aons
- The Metallic Arts' focus is metal.
- Awakening's focus is actually the Commands used to make it work.
It is not clear what focuses exist on Roshar for Surgebinding. It has been suggested that Stormlight itself is the focus there, though it could be the Spren.
