The '''Weeping''' is a time during the [[Roshar]]an year that marks the end of a 500 day year.{{book ref|sa1|44}} The Weeping consists of four weeks, five days each, of continuous rain with a single clear day in the middle known as Lightday, which signifies the Roshar New Year.{{book ref|sa1|44}}{{book ref|sa2|46}}{{book ref|sa2|50}} Every other year a [[highstorm]] arrives on the Lightday, but the period is otherwise free from the storms.
