The '''Weeping''' was a time during the [[Roshar]]an year that marked the end of a 500 day year.{{ref|b|sa1|c|44}} The Weeping consists of four weeks of continuous rain with a single clear day in the middle know as Lightday, which signifies the Roshar New Year.{{ref|b|sa1|c|44}}{{ref|b|sa2|c|46}}{{ref|b|sa2|c|50}} Every other year a [[highstorm]] arrives on the Lightday, but the period is otherwise free from the storms.
