I started reading Brandon's works in 2015 and have been following the community on and off since then. I finally decided to start contributing here in 2019. I'm using this page to keep some resources. I also have a few Subpages for working on big changes to articles that aren't ready to go in the actual article yet.

I started reading Brandon's works in 2015 and have been following the community on and off since then. I finally decided to start contributing here in 2019. I'm using this page to keep track of some #Projects and #Subpages for the larger-scale edits I'm working on, as well as for listing some miscellanious resources and notes.

I'm also a Keeper, which I guess means I'm qualified to answer questions about how to do wiki things or how to handle weird situations. Feel free to contact me on my talk page or on our Coppermind editors Discord server (I'm Stargazer#6905 there if you want to ping me or would feel better direct messaging me).

I often take inspiration for edits from things I see in Special:RecentChanges so if I edit something you just did, it's probably not because you did anything wrong, I just saw something else on the page that I thought could be improved.

My thousandth edit came in the middle of a spree to fix the book parameter in all the Skyward infoboxes (I note that only so that I can remember in five years exactly which page it was).
Honorable mentions: Edgedancer links to the novella, not the Order of Edgedancers; Lightweaving links to the Yolish version, use Surgebinding#Illumination for the Surgebinding power and Order of Lightweavers for the order.

The Stormlight Archive
Add spaces in front of lines to create boxes like this:
<dynamicpagelist>
There's hidden <!--Hidden text--> text here, click "edit" if you want to see how it's done
category = Exemplary articles
<span title="If you want to see how to do mouseover text, edit this page and look at the input here">Mouseover text</span>
category = Stormlight Archive
When using side quotes, make sure to write "|side=left/right|size=XXXpx" (instead of "|left/right|XXXpx") to avoid the "Sidequote with lazy parameters" category
</dynamicpagelist>
Put a : at the front of an internal link if it's to the Category namespace (otherwise you just add the article to the category) or the File namespace (otherwise you just display the image)

Use &mdash; for em dashes.

Projects
Current
As in, actively (ish) being worked on and hopefully will be done soon.
* Resolve open suggestions for deltion/moves/merges. Excellent progress; moved to Coppermind:Editor's Corner.
* Cosmere: Was updating some references here and saw it could use some help. See User:Stargazer/Cosmere for work in progress. Mostly revisions left; hoping to wrap this up fairly soon.
* Resolve open suggestions for deltion/moves/merges. See #Proposed article name changes.
* Tweaking <code>era</code> parameters (this one's grown a bit since I started it). New era template is at the top of this page, doing infobox work on Testing.
* Moving the list of spren to a subpage. Subpage in progress at types of spren; working on what would be left of the spren article below at #Spren. Check redirects to spren page when done; will need to be repointed to subpage.
* Working on Realmatic Theory at Theory

Personal
* Re-check the type of infobox on whatever we end up calling the article for the delver training maze after Skyward 3 comes out.
* Updating the new articles from Starsight (most pages are created, just need to be filled in):
** Make sure species names and variations of "cytonic" are lowercase. Biggest offenders are probably :Category:Defending Elysium
** character needs to be updated for new species (and worlds?), but that's not something I'm going to try doing. Probably.
** Check <code>world</code> parameter; I think we said this should be homeworld, not wherever the species happens to appear.
* I think there's some clean-up that could be done on high level categories (and meta categorization!); look into that some more and discuss with Keepers.
* Move Death Rattles not from epigraphs from The Way of Kings/Epigraphs to Death Rattles. Death Rattles page might need reorganizing.
* Look into editing wob ref to auto-tag all articles with unimported WoBs.
* I think there's some clean-up that could be done on high level categories; look into that some more and discuss with Keepers.
* Maybe update our picture of Brandon, maybe with this (Wikimedia Commons).
* Upload missing Alcatraz full covers (Book 1, Book 2).
* Organize Coppermind:Artists/taratjah's tarot cards, but that also requires working out galleries.
* Tanavast and Honor: Working out the difference between Vessel and Shard pages and adding detail. Haven't actually gotten to work on this, but work in progress will be at User:Stargazer/Tanavast and User:Stargazer/Honor. See Rayse and Odium for general split between Vessel and Shard.
* Things I've noticed may need some help while working on the cosmere page and may try to work on later:
** Realmatic Theory
** Splinter
** Cognitive Shadow
** Sigzil
** True Desolation
** Try to figure out what the Higgens Effect is. See Rame MaladorMaldor and Shadows of Self chapter 9.

General quality
* Articles in need of help: See :Category:Articles in need of attention, :Category:Articles in need of citations, :Category:Articles in need of clarification, :Category:Articles missing information, :Category:Articles with disputed content.
* Check articles linking to 17s ref, Qa ref (should only be User pages left), Twg ref, and Sots ref.
* Check on :Category:Current discussions tags; these can probably be removed. Also check the underlying template.
* Find chapters for :Category:Chapterless references.
* Go through articles with merge suggestions.
* Add links to Summary:Skyward.
* Review articles. List of complete articles that interest me separately, but also look through the ones in :Category:Once reviewed.
* Review list of Special:Unused CategoriesUnusedCategories with Keepers.
* Other: See list at Special:SpecialPages.

* Coppermind:Cosmere#Stubs (0 stubs from short stories and general cosmere)

Done (ish)
* Fix :Category:Sidequote with lazy parameters (User:King of Herdaz took care of these, but check them occasionally for new ones)
** Is it worth trying to change the sidequote template to eliminate this (assuming that's what does this)? I'm not sure how helpful it is.
* Removing disambiguationDisambiguation page links. All of the ones not in the User namespace are gone, but recheck every so often. See :Category:Disambiguation pages and Special:DisambiguationPageLinks.
** Consider making redirects forto commonlydisambigs searched(e.g. pagesMistborn (see Special:SearchStatsdisambiguation). Spiritual Realm<br />
Since the Spiritual Realm is not truly a place, travel to it does not so much involve literally going there, but rather seeing the various Connections of the present and into the future. For example, when Elend Venture burned atium with duralumin, he was pulled mostly into the Spiritual Realm for a moment and understood Leras' plan for the death of Ati.6304mb3 Visions, such as the ones Honor left for potential Bondsmiths, almost always involved being pulled partially into the Spiritual Realm, with an additional "Cognitive framework" to provide the structure of the vision.9562

It appears, however, that a person's accent is tied to their Identity, not the their Connection.2558 As a result, if a person forms Connection without adjusting their Identity, the person's soul will remember where they were born, and they will speak with an accent.mb6 Suppressing that part of one's Identity, however, would allow one to speak with a local accent;2558 other methods may work as well.9012

Investiture<br />

Shards<br />
Shards can also create various constructs that will act according to rules they lay down and do not require direct action on their part to maintain. Examples of this include how Preservation set up the mists to Snap people and the visions Honor left for potential Bondsmiths.4445sa1

A Vessel's expanded mind also allows them to stretch time to fit their needs, and they can instantaneously move their focus around a world in which they are Invested.mb3mb3

At least one Shard, Autonomy, has also shown the ability to create additional avatars of herself.sa3 Shardic avatars appear to be personalities tied to a piece of a Shard's power that can nevertheless be disconnected from the main focus of a Shard's Investiture, allowing them to operate far from the main body of the Shard's attention and power and with a degree of independence.3974sa39385 Avatars can be created without a Shard's conscious involvement, but a Shard is always aware of his or her avatars.13220

Lesser Spren
The vast majority of all spren are non-sapient; these are called the lesser spren, or subspren.sa3 Although some can speak, talking with them is generally an exercise in futility, which leads to people ignoring them a lot of the time.sa1 Spren of the same sub-type are essentially the same individual, with no differences between any two entities.sa1 They are capable of forming a bond with humans, though it is different from the Nahel bond of true spren.4783 As creatures of nature, spren are not particularly concerned with good and evil.9780

Unique Spren
#Known unique spren
There are a small number of spren that are one of a kind, with no other like them in the world. Those include the native spren of Roshar, such as the Nightwatcher, the Stormfather, Cusicesh and the Sibling, as well as the nine great spren of Odium called the Unmade. Each of them appears to have a unique power or ability -- for example, the Nightwatcher can grant boons and banes, Moelach can induce Death Rattles, and the Stormfather commands the highstorms. The intelligence of unique spren varies greatly -- while some have almost humanlike minds, others are animalistic and act more as forces than they do as people.sa3 The former are capable of communicating with humans, and picking who can and cannot hear them.sa3

At least some unique spren can be bonded. Bondsmiths gain their powers from such bonds, with the Stormfather being one of the three great Bondsmith spren.sa2sa2 Some Unmade also bond with people -- Yelig-Nar grants the use of all ten Surges to whoever swallows a gem containing him, and Re-Shephir attempts to displace a Nahel Bond.sa3sa3 Whether an Unmade can become a Bondsmith spren is unknown at this point in time.
Nahel Bond
Nahel Bond

Each Order of the Knights Radiant forms a Nahel Bond with a different type of true spren.6651 This bond is similar in nature to the bond between a seon and its master, albeit unlike a seon bond, a Nahel bond grants numerous benefits to both parties.3035 The spren gains the capacity to retain higher mental functions while bonded; their partner gains access to Surgebinding.sa1 Though historically, only humans could become Surgebinders, during the True Desolation some spren have managed to form a Nahel Bond with a singer, although how this changes things is unknown.7005sa3 It's theoretically possible for someone to bond multiple spren, although this would require a lot of upkeep on the bondee's side in an effort not to break the rules of either bond.6647

Cusicesh
Cusicesh

Also known as Cusicesh the Protector, it's one of the largest known spren to take physical form. It makes its home in Kasitor Bay, where it rises from at exactly seven forty-six in the morning every day. It takes the form of a tall column of water, topped with a face turning towards the Origin. The face is constantly changing, cycling through numerous different sets of features for ten minutes before retreating back into the water. Cusicesh also has four long feet, which it plants on the shore as it rises.sa1

Nightwatcher
Nightwatcher

The Nightwatcher is a splinter of Cultivation,9207 and has been raised by Cultivation akin to a child.sa3 She holds court in an overgrown, fertile region known as the Valley of the Nightwatcher, slightly south of Urithiru, in the mountains of Greater Hexi.Roshar Any visitor there can ask for a boon; she might bestow something that strives to fulfill that boon. However, each boon is also associated with a curse, which is not necessarily matching.sa1 Boons can range from mental alterations, such as renown or skill, or physical gifts, like wealth or magical objects. However, the Nightwatcher has some problems understanding more abstract requests, like forgiveness or unchanging. For this reason, Cultivation monitors her closely, intervening if need be.sa3

Stormfather

The Stormfather is one of the oldest entities on Roshar, having existed in some form prior to the Shattering.9266 He's the Cognitive manifestation of peoples' impression of the highstormsa3. He exists mostly in the Physical Realm, with only a minor Shadesmar presence.sa3 He commands the highstorms that circle the planet, with the ability to chose when to send one.sa2 While he generally accompanies storms, his level of power allows him to be much more omnipresent.4268 He's one of the three main Bondsmith spren, granting the Surges of Adhesion and Tension.sa2

The Sibling
Sibling

The Sibling is a major spren associated with the tower-city of Urithiru, and possibly one of the Bondsmith spren. They have been dormant since the Recreance, after a prolonged decline that saw many of the tower's life support systems failing, eventually forcing the Knights Radiant to abandon the city.sa3sa3 Stormfather asserts that the Sibling's withdrawal is tied to humankind hurting them in the past in some manner.sa3

The Unmade
Unmade

Unmade

The Unmade are a group of nine ancient spren of Odium.sa3 Each of them are exceedingly massive and powerful, and each has a unique form and effect on the surrounding enviornment.sa3 They vary vastly in not only their appearance, but also their level of intelligence, with some being mindless, while others are capable of complex thought.sa3sa3 Unlike most servants of Odium, many Umade have remained on Roshar after the Aharietiam, and dwell there to this day.sa3

* Lift, an Edgedancer, attracts lifespren from time to time.sa2.5
* Dalinar Kholin, a Bondsmith, brings together an incredible amount of gloryspren during the Battle of Thaylen Field. Notably, people around him often draw a gloryspren or several, despite the type's supposed rarity.
* Also during the Battle of Thaylen Field, Jasnah, an Elsecaller, is surrounded by a glow of geometric patterns for a moment during the Battle of Thaylen Field.sa3

What this means, if anything, is uncertain; it has been speculated that the lesser spren will eventually form Shardplate, once the Radiants reach a high enough level.
Bondsmith spren
The singular nature of the Bondsmith spren has led to some speculation regarding which named spren could bestow a Bondsmith Nahel Bond. Candidates commonly put forth include:
* The Nightwatcher, whom Brandon has previously stated is on the same level as the Stormfather174
* Cusicesh, as it's a powerful spren that's worshipped by the people watching itsa1
* The Sibling, based on their connection to Urithiru and the Stormfather's comments about how humans had harmed them beforesa3
