In addition to the above Hoid possesses other abilties that are not directly correlated to any known aspect of physics in the Cosmere, these include the ability to detect when investiture is being used near him{{wob ref|10763}} as well as another ability that helps assist him in suppressing his own investiture to try and avoid detection.{{wob ref|3437}} The former would allow him to theoritically notice the presense of a Dawnshard.{{wob ref|15294}} He also has an ability that allows him to be aware of things that he shouldn't be.{{wob ref|14413}}{{wob ref|5462}} His abilities with magic also grants him an advantage in knowing his stories.{{wob ref|11580}} He also possesses an unknown ability that lets him change how he is perceived by others.{{wob ref|15034}} Hoid also possesses an unknown [[Seon]].{{book ref|sa4|78}}{{book ref|sa4|115}} He is not as limited as Shards in terms of the actions he can take.{{wob ref|13563}}
There are however limits to his ability in magic, for example Hoid does not have access to [[soulcasting]] and is wary of it as an ability.{{wob ref|12644}} As well as this he does not know [[Feurchemy]] but travelled to [[Terris]] in an effort to try and understand how it functioned.{{wob ref|8653}}{{wob ref|12754}} It is possible that Hoid has access to some form of [[sand mastery]].{{wob ref|5878}} The sword he carries is uninvested but still of personal value to him.{{wob ref|2505}}
