'''Shob''' is one of [[Shallan]]'s men.{{book ref|sa3|27}}{{book ref|sa3|40}} He is constantly saying that he has come down with something, saying to Shallan that he is dying, and then later tells [[Veil]] that he is coming down with something. He seems to exaggerate this, as he shows a so-called rash on his arm, when the arm is perfectly normal.{{book ref|sa3|27}}{{book ref|sa3|40}}
He speaks in an accent reminiscent of our world's cockney, though some sentences come out in normal common/vorin. Specifically, he seems to say"Oi" in place of I, except after being questioned about "dem orphans,": his next sentence comes out without accent at all. It seems more likely that the accent is forced by the character than that this is a transcription error on the part of the author/editor. {{book ref|sa3|40}}
Shob used to be in Sadeas's army, though his position is unknown, he then left for also unknown reasons, and was a part of a group that was led by [[Vathah]], or Sarge as Shob calls him, roaming the [[Unclaimed Hills]] and stealing food.
