== History ==
He visits [[Davar mansion]] while [[Lin Davar]] is entertaining [[House Tavinar]], and questions Lin about the circumstances of his [[Shallan's mother|first wife]]'s death. He also announces a request for witnesses to come forward after getting nowhere with Lin.
He was present at Valam's deathbed, standing guard over the newly-crowned king. Valam eventually asks Redin to stab through the heart after announcing [[Taravangian]]'s succession to the [[Jah Keved]] throne.{{ref|b|sa2|i|14}}
