Before the Shaod, Raoden had brown hair, blue eyes, and a handsome face. When the Shaod took him, his hair fell out and his skin became wrinkled and grey with dark splotches, like all other Elantrians.{{book ref|elantris|1}} Once Elantris was restored, he gained silver skin and pure white hair.{{book ref|elantris|61}}
