: After visiting the Nightwatcher, Darlinar lost all memory of his wife. Additionally, when someone mentions her name, all that he hears is "[[Brightness Kholin|''Shshshsh'']]". It is unclear whether this effect is a result of Dalinar's boon or his curse. Dalinar keeps his request, boon, and curse very private, and very few people know of his visit to the Nightwatcher. Though Dalinar didn't remember, his boon and curse were given to him by Cultivation not the Nightwatcher.
