Usually dressed in a simple trousers and shirt, [[Shallan]] mistakes her for a male the first time seeing her.{{book ref|sa2|43}} She wears a red-orange carapace mask which is growing into her skin and has dark eyes.{{book ref|sa2|54}} She has also been confirmed to be a Worldhopper, supervising Mraize.{{qa ref|1097|20|Is Mraize a worldhopper?|date=Dec 6th, 2014}}

 

It is speculated that Iyatil is the 'Visitor' encountered by the [[Shardpool]] in [[Shadows of Self]]
