Around the year 339, the Ironsights was blown out to sea by a storm.{{cite}} It was presumed lost at sea and the families of the sailors believed that they were dead, but the Ironsights managed to return two years later, in 341.

It was reported on by the [[Elendel Daily]].{{cite}} It claimed that the ship found a castaway on an island full of strange animals. He told stories of how his ship had been taken by mysterious people who had unknown metals. How much of this is accurate is uncertain, but the men who sank the castaway's ship could have been the [[Southern Scadrians]].
